Interaction Diagrams

M V Interaktionsdiagramm Thermokorbund XII TK e1695634071863

The diagrams are used to determine the number of ribs required to transfer the applied forces. The diagrams are valid for the type series TKM, TKA (V1 and V2) and TKF. The shear resistance of the type series TKM and TKA (V1 and V2) are given on the left-hand side of the diagrams, and those for the type series TKF are on the right-hand side of the diagrams.

For the type series TKA version V0 (stirrup projection 120 mm) the M-V curve is only valid up to VRd,max. The transfer of larger bending moments (up to MRd,max) is possible with the stirrup versions V1 or V2 (stirrup projection 170 or 220 mm) up to a maximum of 5 ribs per 1 m cage. In this case, a sufficient number of stirrups must be provided on-site.

The interaction diagrams for the XII-Thermokorb can be evaluated according to the same scheme.

SL-Thermokorb®
Interaction Diagrams

M V Interaktionsdiagramm Thermokorb SL TK Typ C

Both shear forces and bending moments can be transferred with the SL-TKM series. Type series SL-TKA can be produced as stirrup variants Q1 or Q2 (with a projection of the stirrups of 170 and 220 mm, respectively). Type series SL-TKA can be used only to transfer shear forces. In general, it must be ensured that a sufficient number of stirrups is provided on site.

Pre-dimensioning Tables for Rectangular Balconies

Vorbemessungstabellen

The pre-dimensioning tables are used for a quick estimation of the required number of ribs per metre for a rectangular balcony with a thermal separation with 80 mm insulation thickness. The tables show various combinations of dead weight, live load and one edge load.

The pre-dimensioning tables are also available for the Thermokorb® XII-TK.
