Heavy-duty dowels (DB system)
Reliable transfer of high shear forces between two reinforced concrete components
The use of heavy-duty shear force dowels (DB system) enables the transmission of medium to high shear forces between reinforced concrete components that are separated by a joint of up to 120 mm.
Heavy-duty dowels (DB system)
Benefits
- Small member thicknesses required from hmin = 150 mm
- Transmission of shear forces up to VRd = 407 kN
- Transfer of shear forces up to a maximum expected joint width of tdesign = 120 mm
- Systems with European Technical Assessment (ETA 23/0180)
- Comprehensive technical brochure
- Lateral movement (in the longitudinal direction of the joint) up to ±15 mm possible (cyclical lateral movements are not permitted)
- Sleeve with integrated nailing plate
- Can be combined with the NURSID® system for height difference compensation of up to 11 mm
Heavy-duty dowels (DB system)
Composition

- Axial movable systems DB-N ( movement in longitudinal dowel direction)
Dowel DB-N with sleeve DB-N (stainless steel) - Axial and lateral movable systems DB-Q (movement in joint and longitudinal dowel direction)
Dowel DB-N with sleeve DB-Q (stainless steel)
